How do you apply and book CWI exam dates?
AWS CWI exam dates start with Part B: you pick a Part B event from the AWS seminar and exam schedule when you apply, and Parts A and C are booked at Prometric once AWS sends your confirmation letter.

Application deadline
6weeks before the event week
Apply at least six weeks before the week of your Part B event. The same AWS document describes a $395 Fast Track fee for applications that arrive later but at least 18 business days before the event.

F4.1From application to the last part
Apply in the AWS portal
US and Canada candidates apply in the AWS Certification Application Portal and upload the employment verification form, the visual acuity form and a photo, up to 5 MB per file. Candidates elsewhere apply through an AWS International Agent. The experience you need is on the CWI requirements page.
Choose the Part B event
Part B is booked inside the initial application. Each event carries an AWS site code, in the form TX44321, shown on the AWS schedule.
Wait for the confirmation letter
AWS emails it about 4 to 6 weeks after you apply, and advises against booking travel before it arrives.
Sit Part B
Bring government ID and the printed letter to your group's check-in window. The Part B page covers what's on the desk.
Book Parts A and C at Prometric
Enter the eligibility code from the letter on Prometric's site. AWS recommends booking at least 30 days ahead because seats fill. AWS's 2022 fee policy puts both parts within 120 days after Part B.

On the AWS seminar and exam schedule. Dates and sites change, so this page doesn't copy them.
Can I book Part A before Part B?
No. The Part A and Part C eligibility codes come with the Part B confirmation letter, and AWS requires Part B first (AWS CWI Examination User Guide, September 2026, checked October 2026).
Can I change my Part B site or date?
US and Canada candidates email a Change of Site/Cancellation form to AWS or use the portal; international candidates go through their Agent. Fees can be lost close to the date, see the exam cost page.
How far back should I count from the exam?
At least six weeks for the application deadline, then about 4 to 6 weeks for the letter, then Prometric seats about 30 days out. The whole route, from experience to credential, is on how to become a CWI.
